Paula Tape left Chile over ten years ago with a suitcase and a bag full of vinyl records. She began working intensively as soon as she arrived in Europe—touring the Italian club circuit, building connections, and steadily making her way onto the festival scene, with regular appearances at Berghain and nearly every club that fit a global tour-de-force DJ’s itinerary.
She made her name releasing irresistible, synth-drenched house tracks on respected labels, including Rhythm Section and Permanent Vacation, while her Hola Mundo parties hold residencies in London, Paris, and her adopted home of Milan.
In 2023, Paula was selected by BBC Radio 1 as one of their residents, making her the first Chilean-born artist to hold the residency. Her sound is irresistible and rich—a strictly dancefloor-oriented blend of acid house, tribal drums, and ’90s breakbeat anthems—and we expect no less at Karmakoma. Joined by the likes of Nevena Jeremić and Cosmic G, we’re in for a full Apgrade experience: get in early and leave late.
